Personal Directory Device Based Authentication

Hi all,

Running CUCM 6.1.4 and have noticed that when you log into the Personal
Directory to access Address Book and Fast Dials, if you log out of
Extension Mobility your phone is still authenticated to logged out users
directory. Even if log in to another EM profile - you are still
authenticated in the other users directory.

Anyone know a way around this? (Other than making the users log out of
PD as well as logging out of EM)

I don't want to configure PAB and PFD as services, as you have to
statically map their user id and PIN in the ccmadmin interface - meaning
they can no longer change pins themselves via the ccmuser interface.

Being able to bypass authentication altogether and just use the current
logged in EM users credentials would be ideal. :)

Cheers!

Giles

Re: Personal Directory Device Based Authentication [In reply to]

Okay, so I spoke too soon. Although it appears you are still logged in,
if you press any buttons it asks you to reauthenticate. However - is
there a way to bypass authentication and just use the current EM users
credentials?
