A Note of Warning

Beware of purchasing anything from calcellular.com - aka cs-power.com. I purchased a replacement battery for my MacBook Pro and have had nothing but issues with it since. The most recent of which pretty much wiped out my Exchange account as it was in the process of doing some updates when the computer just shut down. A rebuild with the appropriate tools could not completely restore the account. This is only one of numerous issues I have encountered since purchasing and installing the "new" battery. I would not recommend using them for any purchases as their products are obviously not OEM compatible as stated.

So what did calcellular.com — aka cs-power.com say you when you told
them about the defective battery?

Some crap about letting the battery charge, waiting for the computer to shut off prematurely, removing the battery for a set period of time, replacing the battery, letting it charge again and repeating this process for anywhere from three (3) to ten (10) days. Their method of "conditioning" the battery. Doesn't that sound like fun!

Actually, that doesn't sound terribly different from what Apple says to do. Apple's instructions say you need to go through the charge-drain-wait-charge process when first using a new battery, and repeat it every month or so.
