MWI Light Not Working

New users are saying there MWI light is not working. I look up there profile
in Unity and do a refresh on the MWI. After the refresh it tells me Request
pending. I made sure DUC is installed. I've tried rebooting the phone. I
also checked with our Lotus Admin and made sure the user's profile was setup
correctly.

Unity version 5.0.1
DUC 1.2.5
Lotus Notes 8.5

Re: MWI Light Not Working [In reply to]

We have a similar problem with Exchange and Unity. The logs indicate the
message store went away, then came back, but MWI and outcalling doesn't work
until we restart Unity.

TAC advised a patch to ES80 (and sent me ES82 instead), said it was a known
bug that got fixed circa ES74 but that there were several regressions
between 74 and 80.

Not sure how true that story is, but I'm currently waiting for a window to
apply the patches.

Re: MWI Light Not Working [In reply to]

Do a search on Cisco.com.
There is a troubleshooting doc related to MWI and Domino.
There should actually be a tool to check the Unity integration status on the
Domino server itself. Cant remember what its called now.

MWI problems I had in the past with Unity / Domino, were actually solved by
Domino reboot.

When you say new users? Are existing users working fine?

Have you compared the domino mailbox setup for a working / non working user?
Is it just a singled Domino backend?

Cheers,

Tim.

Re: MWI Light Not Working [In reply to]

Are these users able to dial in to Unity and listen to messages left
for them? If it is only impacting new users, it is likely to be a
problem with the users not getting DUCS enabled during import. Use the
DUT tool (\Commserver\Utilities\Domino\DUT). Compare the values,
particularly DUCSEnabled and UCEnabled, for a working and failing
user. You can also use the scan option in that tool to detect a number
of common Domino problems.
