FastCGI vs FCGI

I noticed that here:
http://www.alobbs.com/1341/Cherokee_As_hard_as_a_rock.html

states that fastcgi is much more stable, but here:
http://www.cherokee-project.com/doc/dev_issues.html

mentions that the default is still fcgi. The question I have is if the
fastcgi module handles the issue with PHP or should we still stick with
the fcgi module?

Stick to "fcgi". Even though the "fastcgi" module is technically
superior, it hasn't been maintained since quite some time. The main
problem is that "fastcgi" supports FastCGI features missing in PHP,
and therefore, they don't play along well together.
