Problems on freebsd

I've been using cherokee for a few months now. I have it running on about
15 small sites right now. I mainly use FreeBSD for these, i just love
FreeBSD Jails too much.

Anyways, I Love cherokee but i have a few problems.

Whenever i start cherokee, i see this message:

(warning) Couldn't initialize spawn mechanism.
[07/11/2009 11:41:29.996] (error) spawner.c:86 - Couldn't initialize SHM
'/cherokee-spawner-96515': Function not implemented

Also, it seems to be creating empty files in / with the same name

-rw------- 1 root wheel 4096 Nov 7 11:41 cherokee-spawner-96515

Also, Is it just me or is kqueue polling broken? Whenever i try to set this
option the server crashes or just stops working. Are the two issues
related?

Thanks for any help.

I haven't analyzed the issue yet, although it looks like something
happens with shm_open() on FreeBSD:

There is already a bug report for this at the Cherokee BTS:

yes, i know, i saw it. There didn't seem to be any response to it though.

oh well... I'd really like to be able to use kqueue polling. I don't know
how much it will effect cherokee when it works but i know that with other
programs i've seen MASSIVE improvements.
