Balancing by cookie / session id

Hi,
I want to use Cherokee as a front end and load balancing for a
http://seaside.st application.
I know I can use the ip hash module, and that is already good enough, but
what would be great for seasiders is to be able to load balance by the
session id / cookie.
A second, more trivial question perhaps. Is there a way to give write
permissions to some directory / path, using some user authentication module?

Great idea! I guess the user would specify what cookie? And the handler
would operate on a hash of the cookie?

If so enter an RFE on the issue tracker :)

:S you mean from inside the webserver?
