Is there any way yo create a permanent admin password?

Hi again,

Is there any way yo create a permanent password for cherokee-admin? So
I don't have to go to my server's console and check for password
generated after server's reboot.

No, there is not.

The dynamic password mechanism was integrated for pure security
purposes. In fact, since cherokee-admin is only supposed to run
whenever you need to change some configuration in your web server, it
doesn't need to be launch on the system start-up.

Do you have some point to support this proposal? If so, please, do not
hesitate to log a 'Request for Enhancement' at the Cherokee BTS: http://bugs.cherokee-project.com/

Cheers!

Isn't it possible to:

- start cherokeead-minwith the -u option (unsecure - without password)
- firewall it - only allow 127.0.0.1 in hte firewall to connect
- make a virtual host in cherokee and let it reverse proxy to the
cherokee-admin providing htaccess or other authentication and perhaps
and SSL cert.
