What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try to connect the proxy to an IPv6 host. Observe that it tries to
resolve the address, while it actually already knows it is an IPv6 address.
Which is strange.

I do wonder if we should support multiple backends by adding
multiple 'virtual sources' based on the fact that gethostbyname/getaddrinfo
could return multiple hosts via char **h_addr_list; This also opens up the
fundamental problem if we should have an option if we enter an ipv6 address
that we should allow the end user to specify the prefered address family
and/or traverse through something working.
