It'd be grand if Cherokee had a upload status report handler, so when a
user posts a large file, it
can get some feedback about how it goes.

I really want to use Cherokee but I need this feature for vital
functionality in my
websites, so I cannot switch without it. I hope this feature will not get
ignored
forever -- this is already possible in nginx (updated URL for the wiki:
http://wiki.nginx.org/NginxHttpUploadProgressModule ), lighttpd (as above)
and apache
with php's uploadprogress ( http://pecl.php.net/package/uploadprogress ).

Here is a test, I just did:

I just used one of the Apache/Lighttpd/Nginx uploading scripts. The module
is
compatible with them.

It's compatible with the Javascript and/or Flash solutions for the rest of
the servers. I
personally use jquery.uploadProgress.js, but there are many out there.

May i ask for some documentation on how to properly enable the "upload
progress" ?

I tried several ways to enable it now, ranging from "Directory"
to "Argument-Exists"
Rule matches, but i think i am doing it wrong.

If anyone in here can provide the needed information to set it up, i could
try to add
it to the cherokee wiki :)
