Updates:
Summary: Site all up and running BUT cannot download or upload using
version 0.99.28 on centos 5.3

Comment #1 on issue 643 by ste...@konink.de: Site all up and running BUT

The amount of question marks do not prioritize your bug.

Can you provide a longer output of your error log? Can you check if the
maximum
post/upload size has been set, in cgi/php.ini or in cherokee?

Hello,
I am sorry for the extra question marks.

The error I posted seems not be have been related to my error. I traced the
above
error to a wrong path in one of my php files.

However when I try to download a file (.torrent) or try to upload one it
simply gives
me the error page:

Not Found

Sorry pal :(

This is what is in my browser:

http://192.168.149.136/download.php/3826/XXXXXX.torrent

and I get the error page. I have the mime types so any help would be
appreciated.
Thank you in advance and sorry again for all the ? marks

It seems the error comes from your script and is not from Cherokee. :)

Hello,
thank you for your prompt answer, I have tried to download zip files as
well and it
errors as well. THis is the error:

{'type': "error", 'time': "25/11/2009 15:33:57.961", 'title': "epoll_ctl:
ep_fd 8, fd
3: 'Bad file descriptor'", 'code': "fdpoll-epoll.c:140", 'error': "78",
'description': "The issue seems to be related to your
system.", 'version': "0.99.28",
'compilation_date': "Nov 25 2009 12:32:41", 'configure_args': "
'--localstatedir=/var' '--prefix=/usr' '--sysconfdir=/etc' '--with-wwwroot=/var/www'
'--localstatedir=/var' '--prefix=/usr' '--sysconfdir=/etc'
'--with-wwwroot=/var/www'", 'backtrace': ""}

I am starting to think you might be right about my script. However it runs
perfecly
well under apache. I wanted to make the switch to Cherokee as it seems far
more superior

Ignore that error (warning, actually). The server is just being way too
verbose. The
warning is actually nothing to worry about.

FWIW, I also think the issue is within the php script.

hello, so you think the php script is optimised for use with apache rather
than any
other webserver?

I'm pretty sure the "Not Found, sorry pal" part is specific to your PHP app.
If it has not been written by you, and given the URL you posted
(http://192.168.149.136/download.php/3826/XXXXXX.torrent), I would think it
is
related to .htaccess URL rewrites. What's the name of your app?

If it is the case, this answers your question: yes, it is optimised for use
with Apache.
However, you could always convert your htaccess rules to actual Cherokee
redirs.

Hello, I was looking at the list and sends extensions settings and was
wondering if I
could add that path to the .torrents to the handler, and if I can what
would the
syntax be. eg. would it be ~/.*./.torrents.

Plus how would I do the :

"convert your htaccess rules to actual Cherokee redirs."

You could add an "Extension" type rule handled by the desired handler.
But that will probably not work: the XXXXXX.torrent of your URL [1] is not
a file,
but a parameter to the download.php script.

You need to figure out what redirection rules are being used by your app
(look for
the .htacces file), and translate them. Use the Redir handler [2] to see
how.

If you can't figure the rules out, you should ask in our mailing list [3]
for help.
The bugtracker isn't the best place for this ;-)
