Any specific info on FastCGI+Coldfussion. Googling so far only brought up
some
garbage, and the Apache way is by using a binary module AFAICT.

I would gladly make a Wizard if FastCGI can in fact be used.

Reverse proxy is indeed the route to go.

We determined that JRUN/ColdFusion were both not truly tied into Apache or
any other
server. Instead they were being front-ended/proxied by the respective web
server.

Same goes for the open source alternative Railo.

Both work fine being reverse proxied.

Only complication in doing such is if you have multiple websites on same
server (i.e.
1.com, a.com, etc.). When reverse proxying you lose the easy to configure
multiple
hosts functionality per se. You have to enable such within JRUN natively
and in the
case of Railo you have to configure Resin or Tomcat to support.

I'll write up the simple Cookbook for this reverse proxying of ColdFusion
ASAP.

Following inclusion of such we can call this item closed and completed.

If you attach a cherokee.conf for this I'll be glad to add a wizard.

Chages have been committed.
r3746 is a ColdFusion wizard.
r3745 is a ColdFusion recipe. Thanks to pubcrawler for this contribution.
