Status: New Owner: ---- New issue 524 by bozzaj: Cherokee leaves run files when failing to start. http://code.google.com/p/cherokee/issues/detail?id=524 What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Configure cherokee to run as www user/group 2. Make /var/log/cherokee.access/error not writable by www:www 3. Try to start cherokee What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Error: Couldn't open '/var/log/cherokee.access' for appending Files /var/run/cherokee.pid and /var/run/cherokee.pid.worker still exist. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 0.99.20 - FreeBSD 7.2-STABLE Please provide any additional information below. Also, if cherokee is already running and you try to start cherokee again, it overwrites the files in /var/run. This is minor since other software does pretty much the same thing. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
