That's something we've discussed a couple of time by now.

I'm all for switching to used SVN commit messages and build to Changelog
file out of them. The thing is, I have
never found the right time to change it. I'm letting this bug open so we
can collect information on the changes
we have to perform, and the utilities we could use from now on.
