Thanks for the report.  I sometimes use https://metacpan.org/release/App-pmuninstall to remove modules, and I think there's a module around to 'block' loading modules when you are trying to test without them (just I forgot what that was), but of course the safest thing is to cut a new local lib, and if I had done that we'd have had a less regressive first release for 5.90040, just last week I was on cellular data and not having a lot of download bandwidth, so I cheated (and paid for it :) )
