Bricolage 2 on i7 imac

Can someone suggest which version of Perl I should install on an i7 iMac to use with Bricolage? 5.10? 5.12? 32 bit? 64bit?

And same question for installing Perl on a Windows i7 box?

Thanks in advance

I recently used v5.12.1 in 64bit mode -- all written up here:
