Media Templates

We have a new set of media element type profiles. When we preview
these elements, we want a custom look - display the element and then
output all the metadata associated with that element. However, we
can't create a template for that media because it's not associated
with a story. We also can not add that media directly to a story in
the "Add Element" section of a story element type - it simply doesn't
show up.

Is there something easy we're missing? Is it not possible for media
element types to have their own templates?

In the past we have done this by just creating a new element in the
story with a related media, but that won't work here. People won't be
previewing a story, they will be previewing the media object.

Thanks,

Matt

Yeah, you have to have a Related Media subelement to add it -- or you
can make the story type itself Related Media.

I believe that someone has a patch for this.

Yeah, we need the event-driven callbacks. :-(

Re: Media Templates [In reply to]

I have a media templates patch for the bricolage 1.10 branch that
works fine with 1.10.4 . I'll upload the patch file tomorrow. Note
that it's only tested with the mason burner.

Regards,

Paul
