Expired media not being deleted from server

My users are trying to expire media assets so that they are removed from
the destination server, but the files are not being deleted. We're
running 1.10.3 with bric_queued.

It sounds similar to this bug:

http://bugs.bricolage.cc/show_bug.cgi?id=981

Here's what happens:

1) I find the media asset, which is already set to expire in the past.
2) I republish.
3) It is added to the queue with a "scheduled for expiration" message.
4) bric_queued finds the job and does it thing.
5) File remains on the server. Also, the media asset still has a red "P"
in search results. The modified date remains unchanged as well.

Any ideas.

Chris

Other than the red "P" it is probably due to the fact that the story is
related to some other story.

The "needs to be published" flag means that it was modified after the
last published date.

I think you need to upgrade; that bug was fixed a while ago.

Thanks. While reading the change log for 1.10.6, I see this: "Media
documents are now properly expired. Reported by Matt Rolf (Bug #1347).
[David]".

Is there any documentation for upgrading??? Again, we're currently at
1.10.3.

See "UPGRADING" in Bric::Admin:

http://bricolage.cc/docs/current/api/?Bric::Admin

There is an expiration bug in the current release, though. I think
that the attached patch, applied to 1.10.6, should fix it, though (it
reverts that broken code to what worked in 1.10.5, but keeps the media
expire fix).

Best,

David
