Thanks, will take you up on the first suggestion. It used to be it would suggest after one character, but that was murder on orgs with a ton of top-level categories. So now it's two (1 for creating templates, though, since they often go into the root category). I'll add a `bricolage.conf` directive to address this.
A popup category browser is a good idea, but ain't happening for 2.0. Maybe you'd like to implement it for 2.2? ;-P
