Krzysztof,

You can get rid of those jobs by shutting down distribution and running this query in your database:

UPDATE job SET executing = false WHERE executing = true;

So it looks like I'll need to look into `system` breaking `fork`. Thanks for the report.

Confirmed that `cwd()` makes bric_queued hang. Now to figure out why…

Well, I thought I had reproduced it, but now I can't. Most irritating. What OS are you using?

FWIW, we never used Cwd in our templates as best I can recall. It would just slow down and eventually stop after a lot of jobs.

Matt: you are correct, sir. None of our templates use Cwd, like Krzysztof's example. For us, performance just degrades over time until it's unusable. Krzysztof seems to have found a specific failure case, which may or may not be related to our slow-death case.

What we see behaves much more like a classic resource leak. The bric_queued process bloats and slows until it's unresponsive, and must be restarted.
