I found a workaround. I added:

PerlPassEnv BRICOLAGE_ROOT

Above the PerlModule line. I imagine you'll want to do that in
Bric::App::ApacheConfig, eh?

Note that I also had to add:

PerlPassEnv TMPDIR

And set TMPDIR to something other than /tmp. Otherwise this private Bricolage
collides with the Bricolage already using /tmp/bricolage.

Actually, it turns out that the only fix possible (AFAICT), is to add
PerlPassEnv to httpd.conf. Darn! This is in Release_1_2.
