Re: Creatix/Intel 536ep modem under RH9: was: Where can I find the Header for kernel*rh9.at ?

I thought I should report briefly on my experience with this winmodem, a
component in my Medion-supplied Windows XP system now dual-booted with
RH9. I had a RH9 -targetted gz.tar file from the Intel site, and Axel
kindly told me how use the kernel-source- file to build a modem driver.
It happily dialled my ISP under 'Network Device Control' but I have not
been able to route data through it, except on a few occasions, briefly,
immediately after using the external modem.

I am now using the updated kernel associated with the new saa7134 TV
driver; I don't feel the need to download its source code and recompile
the driver to continue experiments with the internal modem. The external
one has reassuring lights, anyway, and all I lose is a free serial port.
