Mythtv Respin

Mythtv Respin

Hi Axel

The lastest spin of mythtv-0.24 (256) appear to be unable to play any
radio channels in the UK, pretty sure it is fixed here:

https://github.com/MythTV/mythtv/commit/588cc6e2b3818d1c9c9af97b233b28914c226ea6
(at least that is the same error message I am seeing anyway)

Any chance of getting a respin in before Christmas when I hope you take
some time off!

This commit is in the already published packages ... :(
Unfortunately the current git versioning scheme make it difficult if not
impossible to compare different revisions/commits.

There will be respins, sure. But I don't think they will fix your
problem unless there will be new fixes on this.

Maybe the commit you quoted is even the reason for your bug. As I
understand your mail the issue came up in between the two releases that
had this commit done.

Also, until a better solution presents itself, do you reckon you could
put a link to the most recent commit in the build in the changlog

Not a version as such, but at least we can figure out what we do and
don't have?

But there was still a fresh mythtv uploaded. I'd test to check whether
the issue has been fixed.

mythtv shows that with --version, but the slightest changes mess up the
commit id, and I have small changes that I don't want to patch out just
yet. For some modules there are tags and branches and the version counts
up from these, so this may be your best bet.

I rebuilt yesterday using the most recent checkout and the issue still
remains unfortunately

I've posted the issue to mythtv-users and at least its not just me,
hopefully should be able to work out a fix

attached (pun intended ;).
