Missing fcpci-kmdl-03.11.07-15.fc12

Hello,

after upgrading to Fedora 12 I wanted to reactivate my
Fritz!-PCI-ISDN-Card. But when going to
http://www.atrpms.net/dist/f12/fcpci/ I'm missing the kernel modul: When
trying to install the kernel drivers, the package mangager tells me,
that fcpci-kmdl-03.11.07-15.fc12 is needed. Is this a thing to come and
I should wait for? Or is there another place to find it? Maybe forgotten
to upload - I'm wondering about the driver package knowing the name of a
not existing kernal package.

Best regards,

Ed

fcpci often breaks with new kernels. There are some patches floating
around like for example on

http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/AVM_FRITZ!Card

They need to be tested and massaged into the package. Would you like
to pick this up?

Ähm, I'm using Linux for about two months now - able to follow
instructions, but not to deal with problems. I followed your link and
because of patches mentioned I tried section "Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala".
All worked fine and capiinfo told me

Ups, wanted to save, not to send. But fortunately it was going directly
to you, not to the list. Maybe I should finish work soon. ;o)

Ähm, I'm using Linux for about two months now - able to follow
instructions, but not to deal with problems. I followed your link and
because of patches mentioned I tried section "Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala".
All worked fine and before reboot the capiinfo told me about the card
beeing found. But after reboot /sbin/lsmod only shows modules kernelcapi
and fcpci, not capi and capils any more. And when trying to install
fcpci-03.11.07-15.fc12.i686.rpm it continues to tell of missed package.

Does "massaged" mean a method to build this package? I think, I'm far to
success, maybe I don't need it? I will try...

Best regards,

Ed

Hello,

maybe I found the reason why you are talking about "test of patches"?

/sbin/lsmod shows modules "capi", "capifs", "kernelcapi" and "fcpci",
that's okay

But my application tells me, there are no ISDN-channels free and
capiinfo shows about card, but really tells about "BChannels 0". Thats
not good, isn't it?
