mplayer/mencoder problem

axel -

that new f11 mencoder package seems to have stopped supporting x264
encoding. i.e.: if i use the following command line with the x264enc
(-x264encopts) option in it:

mencoder $1 -oac mp3lame -lameopts vbr=2:q=7 -af
sinesuppress=50:0.001,equalizer=-5:-4:-3:0:0:0:0:-2:-3:-4,volume=-5:0,comp,gate -ovc x264 -x264encopts bframes=3:frameref=2:subq=6:scenecut=-1:nob_adapt:threads=auto:keyint=1000:8x8dct:vbv_bufsize=4000:crf=20:nr=400:partitions=i8x8,i4x4:vbv_maxrate=2000:no-chroma-me -vf denoise3d=4:3:6:2,pp=lb:smartblur=5.0:-1.0:0 -of avi -o $2

i get the following:

MEncoder SVN-r29776-snapshot-4.4.1 (C) 2000-2009 MPlayer Team
-x264encopts is not an MEncoder option

Exiting... (error parsing command line)

changing it to -x264enc results in a similar output.

is this some major change in mencoder?

thanks!

john

Indeed, the mplayer build from snapshot 20091017 required a newer x264
build, this is turn required a rebuild of ffmpeg and some other libs,
which in turn required rebuilding of almost all multimedia apps, so it
took a while to get fixed.

So the current mplayer build got x264 support back, as well as
opencore-amr support. It's also based on the 20091120 snapshot.
