VDPAU needed for Atrpms's mythtv-0.22

Hi,

Just upgraded to Mythtv-0.22. No problem. Then I tried to start
mythtvsetup - would not - needed to have libvdpau!

I use nvidia-graphics96.43.13 as, though supported, my hw hangs on
anything newer for whatever reason :-(

So it can be a combination of having Nvidia hw, but old driver version.

I worked around it, by co-installing nvidia-graphics190.36. Then I get
these in the logs:
Nov 8 11:19:51 jukebox kernel: NVRM: API mismatch: the client has the
version 190.36, but
Nov 8 11:19:51 jukebox kernel: NVRM: this kernel module has the version
96.43.13. Please
Nov 8 11:19:51 jukebox kernel: NVRM: make sure that this kernel module
and all NVIDIA driver
Nov 8 11:19:51 jukebox kernel: NVRM: components have the same version.

Hope it's of use to somebody else,
Kim

The libvdpau wrappers shouldn't be shipped with the nvidia drivers ;
but instead using their own package.

You have to install the 190.36 nvidia kmdl for your kernel ...
Check that your video card is supported by those drivers.

Thanks for answering!

I admit it must be 3 months since I last tried the at that time newest
drivers, but as I said it kills the OS on my hardware (nVidia
Corporation C51PV [GeForce 6150] rev 162)

Regards,
Kim
