So I learned 2 things today:

1) video4linux-kmdl and ivtv-kmdl do not play nicely together and
cause my system to hang at udev. Uninstalling ivtv-kmdl solves the
hang.

2) video4linux-kmdl does not seem to contain the .ko modules for ivtv
and ivtvfb. I ended up compiling from source and installing that way.
Is there a reason why ivtv.ko and ivtvfb.ko are not in the
video4linux-kmdl package?

Thanks!

There's also a video4linux-ivtv-kmdl package. I use it on my CentOS 5 box to
get my PVR-150 working.
