Maybe I am using a couple of packages from epel/dries. The good news is that I have xine-libs and vlc running on RHEL5. For xine-libs, it is just a question of building vcdimager for RHEL5, and use: --without xcb -- Paulo Roma Cavalcanti LCG - UFRJ
