mythtv.bijou question

Hello Axel, Yeechang, et al,

I have a question regarding the multirec HDHomeRun tuners. I have
bijou installed on Centos 5 and I completely removed all tuners. When
I set up my HDHR again, I didn't see any options for number of virtual
tuners. Should I have seen a second configuration screen for HDHR in
mythtv-setup or am I missing another configuration screen?

The wiki mentions to tweak this "using the Record options (Max Tuners
default=2)". Where are these Record options? I know I'm missing
something obvious, but I only see two encoders in my Backend status
for HDHR and 2 encoders for my PVR500.

Thanks!

/Brian/

It's the button called "Recording Options," under Tuning Timeout on
the mythtv-setup screen for each HDHomeRun tuner. You missed it
because, given its full-screen width, it doesn't look like a
button. (I'm going to copy Bill Cizek, the multirec patch's author, to
let him know about this, as well as the virtual tuners-creation bug
that I note in
<URL:http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/atrpms/users/12646#12646>.)

Bill Cizek, who doesn't subscribe to atrpms-uers, asked me to forward
the following:

It's good to see other people using the HDHR multirec. Hopefully
it works as well for you guys as it does for me.

You're right-on about the full-screen-width button labeled
"Recording Options". It opens up a sub-screen where you can enter
the number of virtual tuners for the HDHR. If you never go into
the sub-screen it won't enable multirec so you're stuck with one
virtual tuner. It can be kind of a PITA if you don't know exactly
what to do, but I took both features from the existing DVB
Multirec functionality and it's nice to have DVB and HDHR
consistent so I don't see this changing anytime soon. Maybe
change the button caption to "Multirec Options", but I'm too lazy
to do that right now 8-P

That said, if you have any good or bad experiences with Multirec
let me know. It's been working well for me but it's always good
to hear from others.
