Problem with sudden random crashes during playback.

Problem with sudden random crashes during playback.

First I should probably state I've had similar problems with the standard
0.21 package from rpmfusion, however, I don't know it's the same cause as
the mythtv-bijou package I'm using now.

When I was using the rpmfusion mythtv package I would get "instant" crashes
occasionally but there was never anything in the log that was useful or an
error for that matter. It's like it crashed so bad so fast it didn't even
write anything about the error in the log.

Now with the bijou package I seem to get crashes only when I have CC's
enabled (specifically ATSC CC's). Here's a snippet of the log file:

Quite obvioulsy all or most readers of this list are not using the
rpmfusion packages. You would have to try to reproduce the above bug
with the 0.21 standard ATrpms package to identify whether it is a
genouine 0.21 issue or a packaging one. Next one can compare to the
0.21-bijou package.

I'd use rpm -qa | grep bijou to identify the bijou packages first. Not
all have *myth* in their name (for example the perl bindings have a
different capitalization).

I uninstalled the bijou packages the way you suggested and installed the
standard mythtv packages. We'll see if I have any more crashes with ATSC
CC's on. It already appears to have fixed a different problem I was having
but that's another thread...
