Some questions, though:

Aren't these headers needed anymore? I know some kernels (officially
2.6.27) have misdn support, so it may work w/o them, or the build
Makefile may be diverting system includes to local includes now.

And for misdnuser: I had seen that you had submitted it ages ago and
I had forgotten to push it, sorry for that!

I've checked my spec file here and I don't have this in a spec file of
a year old (no more history). So I don't think it is needed.
