Dropping yum20 metadata (*.hdr)
|
|
yum 2.0.x used a different metadata format than what today's yum uses (this metadata format is called repomd, the old one never really got a name, but yum20 was often used). yum20 format was only used for FC1 and FC2. ATrpms has been offering newer yum packages for these releases since 1 1/2 years and users of these releases have been fading out, so there isn't really any significant number of users for yum20 metadata. So the metadata generation of both ATrpms' and the Red Hat mirrored and reshuffled packages under dl.atrpms.net will stop, thus giving faster repo recreation times (yep, the repo needs some recreation like all of us do) -- Axel.Thimm at ATrpms.net -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
