IBM HTTP Server admin console

Hi all,

maybe a bit OOT,
I use IBM HTTP Server as our webserver.
as far as I know, IBM HTTP Server is the same as Apache.
I have this problem,
I have just installed the IBM Http Server,
tried to login to admin console using http://localhost:8008
it asked for the userid and password,
I have filled up the userid and password until 3 times, but without sucessfull.

I have tried to reset the password using htpasswd util,
and even create other user, but still can't login.
any suggestion what's wrong with that ?

Try this newsgroup for future discussion of IBM HTTP Server:
ibm.software.websphere.http-servers

The IHS admin console is not a GUI that you access via a browser. The
thing on port 8008 is a service consumed only by the WebSphere
administration console when you're managing a webserver profile. This
is IBM proprietary, and not part of Apache HTTP Server.
