I am running Apache 1.3.22 and Netscape 4.77 on Rh 7.1. Sitting on a Penguin Dual 1.2 Ghz with 2 Gig of Ram. Our current setup is that the users launch Netscape 4.77 and use squid to proxy out to the web, but I am not able to log the user name. I have found the Apache offers a faster response for proxy and also am looking to start development of our Intranet. Since Netscape is being launch from the localhost for all the users, I would like to log the user name to see where everyone is going. I attempted to change the ServerType to inetd, but since RH7.1 does not use the old /etc/inetd.d config file, but uses the newer xinetd format, I am unable to get this to work. Suggestion on how I can get the username logged?? Thanks!
