httpd: Could not mmap memory

I just installed Apache 1.3.22 from binary distribution on SunSolaris 5.6
and I get the
following log error:
[Thu Dec 13 16:07:02 2001] [warn] pid file /usr/local/apache/logs/httpd.pid
over
written -- Unclean shutdown of previous Apache run?
mmap: Invalid argument
httpd: Could not mmap memory
Any help will be appreciated!
