If we can get some more votes on the current patch list, we
can make some progress by building a new source for a base.
There are ~25 patches in the list so far. 7 or 8 of them
look uncontroversial enough (and look like having enough votes)
to make it into a apache.
If we can make a new source base, the other patches can be
regenerated to be relative to apache instead of 1.3, and we can
focus on other things.
If you haven't voted, but have tried out the patches, please
vote for them
