More specifically, I got syntax error while installing apr-util in this way.
cd ../apr-util
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apr-util-httpd/
--with-apr=/usr/local/apr-httpd/
make
make install
When make install, the installation terminated with:-
bash: -c: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token `;'
*** Error code 2
