When I try to verify links through the Links 2 admin, it times out. It gets to about 60 or so links... then just stops. Here's the specs for the server I am on:

Pentium III 550mhz with 512 megs of RAM. We're running mod_perl 5.6.1 as well. There's a really long page of perl mods also. I didn't want to put them all here.

Question: Is the timeout rate too short? If so, what should I tell my hosting company to increase the timeout to?

Either try getting in contact with your host admin, and see if they can prolong the timeout limit; or gt them to setup nph-verify.cgi to run via windows scheduling (equiv. of a Cron job)...then it will run in the background of the server, and theoretically shouldn't time out.
