I go to set up this script and nothing works, I have never found such a useless piece of poorly written cgi in my life.

I suggest you learn how to write cgi before you give it away!

With all that 'expertise' you have in Perl scripts, you couldn't manage to install Links??? (How come you didn't just write your own search engine?)

And... actually, had you taken the time to read the general instructions in the readme file and search the forum and resource center for help, you could have easily found a wealth of information relevent to installation problems.

BTW: CGI is not a programming language.

I completly agree. Links 2 has to be one of the best (actually 'the best') script that i have found on the net! It does everything you could want, and more! There are loads of great mods that are so simple to install. If you really want to find a better script, good luck!!!!

Poorly written cgi?

OK...please enlighten us and tell us why it is poorly written and show some examples.

It is also strange that thousands have people have Links2/SQL running successfully on their servers so it cant be that "poorly written".
