extending url field?
Hi,

Many of my links have url:s that are longer than what can be entered in the Administration Interface.

How can I adjust this to meet my needs?

in your links.def

Code:
URL => [2, 'alpha', 40, 125, 1, 'http://', '^http|news|mailto|ftp'],

the 40 controls the width of the field on the admin screen

the 125 controls the maximum number of characters allowed in the field

Please search the forums before posting questions...this has been discussed many times.

Thanks for the help - this is great! Great response time as well - very sorry about not finding this in the forums. I did search for "URL Length" and many other search terms, but didn't think of using the word "extended" and therefore didn't find what I was looking for - very sorry about asking a much asked question again ...

Crazy

Perhaps adding these FAQs to the manual would save you time in the long run and you wouldn't have to point out what you think is obvious ... the fact that this has had to be dealt with several times says something ...

as for searching, just remember the old esm axiom: less is more and more is less. The less you enter into the search field the more your will get; the more you enter into the search field the less you will get.

Gossamer-Threads has indicated there will be no further development work on Links 2 and I guess that would include the installation manual and the users guide Angelic. Even the Link 2 resources are somewhat out-of-date as some of the links there have not worked for almost 3 years.
