I am converting a large collection of hand maintained links to Links 2.0. Obtaining email addresses for 700 links is just not an option at this point. Is there a way I can make the email address field optional for the admin add link interface only (i.e. so it is still required for a user add)?
If not, can I safely disable the field so I can leave it blank while I convert my files, then re-enable it so that future link additions require the field. So far, all I've seen in the forum is how to make something totally optional, but no mention of whether it can be temporary or not. I don't want to mess with it if it doing so will cause any errors.
