Hello all,

After using "Links 2.0 B4" for for a week or so, I've run in the problems listed below, does any one knows the solution?

1.
I've started getting junk email every day, like 20-50 messages. "Links 2.0 B4" script sends me a message, that some one added a link to my database. We all know, that junk email ins't a good thing to have in your mail box So, I had to delete my email in "links.cfg" file. Is there any other way to stop "Links 2.0 B4" sending me this junk?

Each time, when I validate some ones URL, the script does not select URL as "isNew", so I have to spend time ckecking the boxes and selecting "Yes". This is not a major problem, but I think that it's good thing to have that box to be checked already for the new messages. ...just to save our time

3.
And the last. Since I get 20-50 additions to my database every day (probably more in the future), is there a way add a function "validate all links"?

1. You would just have to comment out the call to your admin_email routine. I don't have the code in front of me, so I don't know exactly where it is. I'll try to check later.

2. It says No, but when you validate, and Links builds, it will check the date of the addition, against what you have set as the time limits for something to be considered new, and mark it during the build if it qualifies.

3. That would defeat the purpose. The puropse of Validate is so that you check the links that are being added, to make sure the info is correct, and the link is appropriate for your database etc. Beleive it or not, Yahoo! has a team that does that with all links submitted to them!
