Help!
Ok, I've scanned the archived section of this discussion board and wasn't able to find anything on this topic. My question is this... I use the links program to organize my downloads section for my site. So, most, if not all, the links in my database, are to files. And for some reason, Netscape users can't download the programs by clicking on the links. What they get is a bunch of computer jargon. Does anyone know why this happens?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Gwynar,

Not sure but I think this might help, it is worth a shot anyway.

The Netscape browser is probably not wanting to digest the redirect to the file download.

The link you see on your liks page doesnt go directly to the file itself, it is a redirect throough the links script itself.

So try this...

If your site_html.pl file find the sub that defines the way a link looks.

And in the href tag, and this

target="_blank"

This will make Netscape open a new window first then try and get the file.

Can't tell you if this would work, but I think it might.
