Hi!! Links understands the different urls right?? For example it knows that http://whatever.com is different from ftp://whatever.com and that is different from gopher://whatever.com but Links realizes exactly what it is, Gopher, FTP, Http, etc.. Am I right on this??

If so, how would I go about adding a part to Links where it would recognize America Online links. For example AOL uses, aol://, instead of the http:// So if I wanted to add aol://118.38.LinksMods how would I modify links so it accepts it since it won't accept it now

You have to be on the AOL service. These "urls" are only for America Online subscibers and they bring up a type of a webpage (called a keyword) on America Online but not the Internet. Right now when I put in aol://whatever.whatever it tell's me it is invalid.

I want to be able to do this and also be able to make a graphic to put next to it, kinda like the new and cool graphic. I know how to do the graphic but not the aol:// thing. Any suggestions?

I don't understand what you mean.
Do you want it so that you can add aol:// like you can with http://?
or do you want to have a Search engine online but only for AOL users, because that would be impossible unless you work for aol.

I know that you can't do rainman without working/volunteering for AOL and this program wouldn't even be able to run because you have to be internal to run cgi/perl/java/etc. scripts

You don't need a mod to allow aol://
I tested it on mine and it works fine.
Just don't got aol so I can't see those url's.
just say near the URL box to change http://
to aol://
or if you want only aol:// for your links just go in the site_html and go to add, adding error, modify, modify error and change the http:// part into aol://
