Hi,

I am assuming that if I buy Links SQL I will have no difficulty importing the data from a Links 2.0 Site.

What provision is there to import additional data into Links SQL ?

for example

Title
URL
Description
Category
(additional category ?)
Submitter Name
Email
etc
etc

What format would the date to be imported need to be in ?

Pipe Delimited ?

Hi. Importing into LinksSQL is pretty easy from Links2 flatfile.

Database > Import/Export > Links2 > Import > /full/path/to/your/linkssql/admin/folder

.. and thats about it. You will then get a report on the number of links successfully pulled in; and get error messages for those which did not.

I'm just waiting for them to finish my dedicated box, then I want to upgrade to Links SQL.

Question on importing from Links 2.0 If I have added fields to my file (I think I have 3 extra) will it port in ok, or do I need to set those up first as columns in Links SQL?
