searching for 2 items from 1 field

We have two search links, one for American and the other for British slang:

http://www.englishclub.com/cgi-bin/ref/search.cgi?Variety=British&catid=124;d=1

Is it possible to make a single link that would find American AND British slang?

(An unlikely requirement I agree - it's just an easy example.)
