Hi

I check to see what people are searching for on my site and today I noticed what appears to be an error for the 'number of results' in the Results column for a search trm that I knew would have some results.

The search query was: falmouth


Query: falmouth
Count:1
Last Searched: 2008-04-22 5:17 PM
Results: 0
Time Elapsed: 0.0317s

If I check this, (using the 'falmouth' link from the Query column)

I see this:

Your search for falmouth returned 1 category and 5 links

So why does the Search Query Logs say 0 results?

yes I'm 100% sure, (I copy / pasted the info from the search query logs page)

I was very surprised when I noticed the '0' in the results column, originally this morning it was next to the search term: falmouth area (which also showed 0 results but that may be because of the word 'area')

I see now in the search query logs that the entry for: falmouth has changed to show 4 searhes with 5 results.

Yeah, I was gonna say - I just had a look, and its showing fine in the"View Search Logs" bit =) Could have been from a search done before there were any listings, and now cos someones done a new search - its updated =)

the Falmouth listings are some of the earliest on the site and I clear the search logs every couple of days.

I last cleared the logs 'last night' so I was surprised to see the falmouth entry as showing 0

I will 'clear the search logs' and see if t happens again.

Just checking the search logs

noticed a search query: portsmouth with '0' results, I checked the database this should show 1 result.

Hi,

I think this is a bug :)

I just looked in your admin area, and your correct.

Then, I did a search - went back to the admin, and sure enough- it'd updated correctly. Seems you have to do 2 searches, before it updates correctly.

Maybe something GT can release a fix for? Or just something we'll have to live with <G>

This morning I looked and the search results show '4' results for the search term Portsmouth?

Last night I checked the site andconfirmed there was 1 link in the 'portsmouth' category.

This morning there are 4 results for the search term 'portsmouth' (1 in the portsmouth category + other links having 'portsmouth' in the description)
