Hi,

i bought in the past the cgi based Links 2, and now i'v bought Gossamer Links 3.2, that has a SQL database.

I was looking for a way to import data from the old one to the new one, but i read in this forum that i need to upgrade Links 2, because an import is not possible.

Someone would give me an hand?

Hi,

Its actually very simple :)

1) Database > Import/Export

..select "Links 2.x" from from the SELECT box

2) In "Location of def files: " - simply enter the FULL path to your Links 2 "admin" folder

Then, click "Import Data" - and it should do it all for you

it gaves me this error message:
The path to the Links 2.x def and db files that you gave does not exist

But the path exist, and the *.db files too...
I tried different ways to write the path,with and without "http://", starting with the full path and removing folders until the path was "http://www.domain.com".

Been a little while since I last did a Links2 > Glinks - but maybe try:

/path/to/your/links2/admin/data

??
