Is there an option to send a link with a query (http://www.mysite.com/search.cgi?catid=&query=11) to a global and to get the number of result this like have?

Hi,
In short, no.
You could possibly do it by looking at the glinks_SearchLogs table - and doing a search on the slog_term field - and then getting the value of slog_hits.
However, this requires someone to have done the search already =) (otherwise, it won't give any results).
