Doubt with 'NONINDEXED indexing scheme'
Hi,
I´m using Glinks 3.2.0 and I have configured the search with "NONINDEXED indexing scheme", for links as well as for categories.

When I click on --> Rebuild Search, the following message shows:

>Indexing Links Database ... Links table is using the NONINDEXED indexing scheme, skipping!
>Reindexing Category Database ... 788 categories.

Some months ago I also used "NONINDEXED indexing scheme" but the message was:

>Indexing Links Database ... 23014 links.
>
>Done!
>
>Reindexing Category Database ... 788 categories.
>
>Done!

What could have changed?

Also, when I reindex categories, why wouldnt this message appear, too?;

>Category table is using the NONINDEXED indexing scheme, skipping!

Could anyone help me?. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

NONINDEXED means that it doesn't need the "rebuild search" function run :) Its based on stuff like:

SELECT * FROM glinks_Links WHERE Title LIKE '%QUERY%'

...whereas with indexing, it uses the glinks_Links_Score_List table.

Hope that helps.

Cheers
