I'd like to use the Ajax category selection method but I have one problem with it. The default seems to be no category selected and I'd like to change that to have a default category already selected when somebody arrives at add.cgi

Is this possible to hardcode in a category?

The reason I want this is because a lot of my users just plain don't select a category and then fail in adding their link. I ask for a huge amount of information along with photo uploads and people give up easily if anything stops them submitting.

Not tested, but you could just do:

add.cgi?ID=12345

(where 12345 is the category you want it to auto-select)

I'll go a step further with add.cgi?ID=<%ID%> and just hardcode the link on pages that have an add.cgi link but don't have a category.
